A house on Hoyt Street in Danbury was destroyed by a fire that broke out at around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Danbury Fire Department, led by Deputy Chief Bernie Meehan, responded promptly to the scene, with Meehan calling for a second alarm due to the intensity of the blaze.
Seven career and three volunteer fire companies attended to the fire.
There were no injuries reported from the incident.
The American Red Cross Connecticut was on the scene, coordinating relief efforts for the affected residents.
