Hicksville man accused of making unauthorized transactions worth over $150,000

Police say Usman Ghafoor made unauthorized transactions on several business accounts at the AT&T store in Franklin Square.

A Hicksville man is facing charges after making fake transactions worth thousands of dollars at a cellphone store he used to work at.

Police say Usman Ghafoor made unauthorized transactions on several business accounts at the AT&T store in Franklin Square.

According to police, Ghafoor, 34, used various existing business credit card accounts to reimburse other account holders without permission.

The transactions totaled more than $158,000.

Ghafoor is facing grand larceny charges.
