The Long Island Aquarium wants you to help name the newest member of their family.
A Giant Pacific Octopus, which typically lives in the waters off North America’s northwestern Pacific coast, is now a resident at the Riverhead facility.
Voters can choose from the names Octavius, Oswald, or Squish for the eight-armed creature.
The cephalopod is harmless, shy and highly intelligent, preferring to flee rather than fight, the aquarium says.
One vote can be cast per day on their website.
The winner will be announced on Saturday, Aug. 8.
