A civic group is calling on PSEG Long Island to release information on what it plans to do if another major storm slams Long Island, like Superstorm Sandy did in 2012.
Action Long Island CEO Sheldon Sackstein says PSEG, which took over operation of the power grid from LIPA, needs to be more transparent about its emergency plans.
PSEG Long Island says its entire emergency plan is published in a 2,000-page document on its website, and says it will shortly release its updated plan for 2015.
However, others are expressing worries as well. In a written statement, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano says he "understands there are some concerns and has offered to work with them to ensure that the best possible plans are advanced."
Action Long Island says it is hoping to sit down with PSEG officials to discuss the plan for the year ahead.
