A garbage truck driver involved in a deadly Hauppauge crash two years ago has pleaded guilty to several charges, according to authorities.
Prosecutors say
Jaswinder Singh was speeding on the Long Island Expressway’s South Service Road when he slammed into a row of cars stopped at a red light.
Joseph Kelly, 24, was killed in the five-vehicle collision.
Singh pleaded guilty to charges including criminally negligent homicide. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted of that top charge.
The district attorney says they recommend a six-month prison sentence with five years’ probation.
