Erosion seen on Sullivan Beach shoreline in Southold due to high tides this winter

Erosion can be seen of parts of the shoreline due to the high tides.

Areas of the parking lot on Route 48 have collapsed down onto the sand.

A bunch of rock and sand have also moved down the shore with those waves.

News 12 has reached out to Southold Town to see if there is any remediation plan in place and are waiting to hear back.
