Two Suffolk parents are making a desperate plea for help for their 18-month-old son, who is in the hospital due to a brain tumor.
Cristen Parsons' son Dallas has been very ill due to the tumor.
Parson says her son was a happy toddler for many months, but his mood suddenly changed as his health declined. After weeks of testing, doctors discovered the brain tumor.
Surgeries were performed on Dallas but were ultimately unsuccessful. Radiation therapy is the next step.
"The news was devastating, I feel like right now I am kind of numb," says Parsons. "He has been in the hospital for a week and a half, but there have been many tears shed and really hard days. But you know I am glad we have a diagnosis, and we can move forward."
Concerned family and friends have set up a GoFundMe to help the Parsons family pay off medical expenses for Dallas.
