State Attorney General Letitia James has indicted a former NYPD officer in connection with the deadly shooting of a Farmingdale man.
Former officer Errick Allen is now charged with murder.
As News 12 has reported, prosecutors say the 28-year-old shot his childhood best friend Christopher Curro, 25, in May 2020.
James says text messages between the men indicated they were in a fight before Allen pulled out his service weapon and allegedly shot Curro.
Allen, who has since been fired, is now facing life behind bars if convicted.
