Firefighters were seen battling a fire at an apartment building in Mineola Friday night.

Officials say 100 firefighters were at the scene after the fire broke out around 6 p.m. on East 2nd Street. They say it quickly engulfed the first floor.

Officials say everyone was able to get out of the building - but about a dozen people are displaced and two businesses were destroyed.
