A fire broke out at Wenonah Elementary School early Saturday afternoon in Lake Grove.

According to Suffolk Firecom, the fire started at 12:40 p.m. before multiple crews brought it under control shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Fire departments from Stony Brook, Farmingville, Holtsville, Centereach, Lakeland, Holbrook and Nesconset assisted the Ronkonkoma Fire Department in dousing the flames.

There were no injuries in the incident.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
