Family of 2 women killed in Noyac house fire suing homeowners, rental agency

The family of two young women killed in a Noyac rental home fire over the summer is suing the owners for negligence.
As News 12 has reported, the Wiener family was staying at 3 Spring Lane when an early morning fire broke out on Aug. 3, leading to the death of sisters Jillian and Lindsay.
According to court documents, there were no working fire, smoke or carbon monoxide alarms in the home.
In addition, all smoke alarms had either been disconnected from any form of electrical supply, had dead batteries or had their batteries completely removed.
