Police are looking for a man who impersonated a cop to frisk a woman in Lynbrook Sunday.

Authorities say the woman was sleeping in a van ? police are not saying why - parked near Sunrise Highway when the impersonator shined a light through her window and told her to get out of the vehicle.The woman told police when she got out, the fake cop told her to turn around and put her hands on the van. According to the victim, the man frisked her, touching her breasts and genital area. The man then fled in a dark-colored police-type cruiser.

Officials describe the man as wearing a blue uniform that did not have any police patches on the shoulders, which authorities say is unusual. His name badge read "Gonzalez."

The incident marks the second time in three days someone has impersonated a police officer. On Friday, a man pulled over and robbed a woman in Lindenhurst.

Nassau and Suffolk police do not believe the cases are related.
