A Point Lookout man is accused of keeping hundreds of gallons of gas in his home.

Police say they found eight unvented 55-gallon gasoline drums in the basement of Edward Randolph's home.

The 63-year-old also had six empty 55-gallon drums, eight 20-pound propane tanks and two handguns.

Randolph has been charged with reckless endangerment and weapons charges.

Randolph's elderly mother told News 12 that they were storing the gasoline and propane tanks for the upcoming winter. They said they lost power for 10 days during Sandy and they just wanted to be prepared.
