The overall dry weather trend is set to continue through the weekend on Long Island.
Expect cool mornings with lows in the 50s and mild afternoons with highs in the 70s for the next few days.
There will be a few chances of showers early Saturday morning and Monday morning with the overall rainfall being on the light side.
TODAY: Sun and clouds, nice, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Friday night: A few showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. South wind around 10 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday: A few spotty morning showers. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 75.
Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 69.
Sunday night: A few showers developing overnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.
Monday: Morning showers to Partly sunny, with a high near 75.
