Detectives: $136K worth of jewelry stolen from Roosevelt Field store

Five people worked together and stole over $136,000 worth of merchandise Tuesday from Ethan Jordan Jewelers in the mall, authorities say.

Roosevelt Field Mall has been the site of a jewelry heist and motor vehicle thefts in a span of just a few days, detectives say.
Five people worked together and stole over $136,000 worth of merchandise Tuesday from Ethan Jordan Jewelers in the mall, authorities say.
They say two women were picking items from displays while the other three suspects distracted a store employee. The women then just walked out with the jewelry.
Just two days earlier, two people allegedly stole two trucks from a parking lot at the mall.
Detectives say a 2023 Yukon and a GMC Sierra were taken from an area being used by a GMC dealership.
News 12 is told it happened around 11 p.m. Sunday .
The two vehicles were worth over $150,000.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call police.
