News 12 Long
Island has learned a deal has been made between King Kullen and its grocery
workers union.
The
supermarket chain ratified an agreement made last week.
The decision comes after months of negotiations to provide higher wages to
hundreds of workers at 25 stores across Long Island.
Representatives
from Local 1500 voted earlier last month to authorize a strike if no agreement
was made.
The new agreement is now valid for the next five
years
