DA: Islip man convicted of sexually abusing his daughter

Prosecutors say the 56-year-old Islip man began abusing the girl when she was 15 years old.

A father has been convicted of sexually abusing his daughter.

Prosecutors say the 56-year-old Islip man began abusing the girl when she was 15 years old.

According to officials, the girl told one of her teachers last February, when she was 17, and her father was arrested.

The man will be sentenced on Jan .13 and faces up to 14 years in prison.

He will also be registered as a sex offender.
