Police are warning Bellmore residents after they say someone tried to lure a teenage girl into a van.
Officials say the Mepham High School student was walking on Pea Pond Road Wednesday when the driver of a white van asked the girl if she wanted a ride.
The school notified police and it's advising students to walk in pairs at all times.
