3rd District constituents express relief as Rep. George Santos faces federal charges
The news of the criminal charges against Rep. George Santos is garnering a lot of attention in New York's 3rd Congressional District.
The announcement has a lot of people living in the area feeling relieved yet disappointed because they still feel underrepresented.
People living in the district tell News 12 the indictment is bittersweet, but they want to know who is going to represent them in Congress and what is next?
Residents tell News 12 they still feel like they don’t have a voice.
“Finally! I'm very disappointed that he still is going to be representing us that they can't expel him from Congress until he's convicted,” says Jonathan Rudes, of Woodbury.
