Clap out event held at Mather Hospital to honor staff

The hospital marked a big milestone on Friday, six weeks since they had their first COVID-19 case.

Mather Hospital staff is getting one big round of applause for their heroic efforts in helping patients as they battle the coronavirus.
At shift change on Thursday, leaders from the hospital and Northwell Health, will gather in front of the entrance to clap for the health care workers as they come in to work, and clap for those leaving after working through the night.
The hospital celebrated a major milestone recently; six weeks since they began treating their first coronavirus patient.
