Chilly temperatures kicked off the fall season in Belmar.

News 12’s Tony Caputo made his way to the beach to hear what beachgoers had to say as the season changes. He found that the cool temperatures and brisk wind is what many of them have been waiting for.

"I take off vacation after Labor Day, the week after Labor Day all the time. This time I took two weeks off because September is the best time down here,” said Warren resident John Coleman.

Eric Lutz, a native of North Carolina, was enjoying the cool air.

“It’s 90 degrees down there. You run faster when it's cool," he said.
