The slide at one Suffolk County pool is being shut down for the rest of the summer.
The attraction at the Centereach Pool is broken and needs to close for the remainder of the season.
Brookhaven Town Councilman Neil Manzella made the announcement on social media on Monday after speaking with the parks department.
“A new slide is being purchased and will be installed for next season,” Manzella said.
The pool itself, located on Hawkins Road, remains operational and open to the community.
