A Queens man is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter and DWI after police say he killed a man while driving drunk in Elmont.

Police say Brian Dudley struck and killed a 61-year-old man who was crossing the street at the intersection of Elmont Road and Cerenzia Boulevard. The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Dudley's license had been revoked and suspended.

Prosecutors say Dudley had a blood alcohol level of 0.17, more than twice the legal limit.

Police say he was driving 50 mph in a 30 mph speed zone and was weaving in and out of traffic when he struck the man.

Dudley is an electrician and the father of two children. Prosecutors say he has three prior felony convictions.

His bail was set at $350,000 cash. He is expected back in court on Tuesday.
