A Bellport man is accused of going on a crime spree throughout Nassau County.
Police say 43-year-old Emmit Smith stole from nine different stores during a 14-month stretch. They say it began at a Kohl's on Sunrise Highway in June 2022.
Nine months later, Smith allegedly struck again at the Lowe's in Hicksville.
Police say he also stole from three Home Goods, a Target, Macy's, Ulta and Dick's Sporting Goods.
Smith had been previously arrested 46 times. Fifteen of those arrests were for felonies.
