The third annual Babylon Village Pride parade scheduled for this Sunday is expected to draw a large crowd.
The car and float parade drew 500 people in its first year and grew to 3,000 last year.
The event kicks off at 3 p.m. at Main Street and Deer Park Avenue.
Parade organizers say more village businesses and sponsors are participating this year. They add that their contributions will add to the success of the event.
"Now that people are coming out more and people are more comfortable, I think it's important to show our support," says Hannah Gregory, of Babylon Bean.
After the parade, the fun will continue at area venues in the village, which include a party by a leading parade sponsor, the Post Office Café, at 6 p.m.
