Atlas V Rocket equipped with weather satellite prepares for launch
The Atlas V Rocket equipped with a very important weather satellite is about to blast off.
The United Launch Alliance is in final preparations to launch its rocket that will carry the Joint Polar Satellite System mission early in the morning of Nov. 10.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's polar-orbiting satellite is the second in the series, which will aid in helping scientists predict and prepare for extreme weather events.
The launch had to be delayed more than a week due to a faulty battery.
It will launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
