More than two dozen dogs were seized Thursday from multiple locations, including a home on Cooper Court in Uniondale.

The ASPCA, along with the NYPD Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad, seized 28 dogs from multiple locations as part of an ongoing animal-cruelty investigation, says an ASPCA spokesperson.

Officials say some of the dogs appear to be pit bulls. They say it's unclear whether the dogs are part of a dogfighting ring and if the other locations are on Long Island.

An NYPD official did tweet pictures from another location that was part of the operation today.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office is the lead on the case.

Chris Rivera, who lives next door to the home on Cooper Court says he's always heard dogs barking at the house since he was a little kid. He says the dogs always looked healthy.

The home on Cooper Court is now boarded up and has been condemned.
