An Amityville woman has been arrested and is accused of punching a woman with autism she was supposed to be caring for.
Police say it happened at a group home on Baldwin's Path in Dix Hills back on Oct. 21.
Detectives say the 34-year-old resident had walked away from the facility.
The woman arrested, Ashley Wright, worked at the home as an aide and found the woman.
Police say Wright punched the woman in the head before a supervisor arrived and escorted the victim back to the facility.
Wright was arrested Sunday and will be arraigned at a later date.
