Voters in three Suffolk County school districts voted down their budgets that would have pierced the state tax cap.
Voters in Bridgehampton, Sayville and West Babylon said no to budgets that exceeded the state tax cap.
Those districts must now decide whether to re-submit the same budget or a revised budget for a revote next month.
Meanwhile, voters in East Hampton and Patchogue Medford have approved budgets that pierce the cap.
All other school budgets passed.
However, results in Hempstead are up in the air because of claims there were voting irregularities involving absentee ballots.
