AP ? A man with a shotgun opened fire inside asurburban home, critically wounding his estranged wife and killinghis daughter and mother-in-law before turning the weapon onhimself, police said.
Officers responding to calls of a shooting Friday afternoonfound the man and his 65-year-old mother-in-law dead from shotgunwounds inside a small white house in Roslyn Heights, about 20 mileseast of Manhattan, police said.
The man's estranged wife and their 17-year-old daughter werehospitalized, and the teenager later died. The wife is listed incritical condition but is expected to survive, police said.
Nassau County police Sgt. Richard Laursen said the couple wereestranged and in the process of getting a divorce.
Neighbors said a violent argument erupted on the front lawn ofthe house early Friday over an upcoming move, Laursen said. Amoving truck was parked in front of the house, where the woman andteenager lived, he said.
Neighbors later saw the man come back to the house carrying asports bag.
A shotgun was recovered in the house.
