A Jericho High School varsity tennis player has made her mark at the U.S. Open.
Natalie Wozniak, 14, qualified for the ball crew at the at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens during the U.S. Open and is one of the crew's youngest members.
"It's been such a great experience getting to meet all these new people and be a part of a big family," Wozniak said. "It's just fun to go on the court and play tennis and get to be on the court with these amazing players at the U.S. Open."
Wozniak's love for tennis includes her giving back to the community. She and her twin sister, Caroline, helped create an event at their school called Serve with a Purpose, which provides those with disabilities an opportunity to play the sport that she loves. She said she hopes to make it an annual event.
