Twenty five members of the Nassau Police Department are beginning a four-day journey down the East Coast to honor fallen officers.
The annual Police Unity Tour begins at the 9/11 Memorial in Manhattan and ends at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The event is expected to raise more than $2 million for families of officers killed in the line of duty.
Two officers from Scotland Yard in London are taking part this year. One is riding in memory of Nassau Officer Geoffrey Breitkopf who was killed in 2011.
