Man arrested for trespassing at Water Mill home

An investigation revealed that the man, who had entered the house without permission from the homeowner, had an active arrest warrant for a similar incident at the same residence.

A man is accused of trespassing at an East End residence for the second time.

Southampton Town Police responded to the report of a suspicious person in the driveway of a home in the area of Cobb Road in Water Mill around 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers found Hassan Cook, 41, who is undomiciled, but known to the local area, police say.

An investigation revealed that Cook had entered the house without permission from the homeowner.

Additionally, police determined that the man had an active arrest warrant for a similar incident at the same residence.

Cook was taken into custody and will be charged with criminal trespass when he is arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court on Monday.
