Two adults and one child are displaced after a house fire in Baldwin Monday night.

Fire officials say the fire started in the basement then spread to the first floor of the home around 8:30 p.m.

Two firefighters were injured and transported to a hospital for burn treatment and smoke inhalation.

All occupants self-evacuated and did not sustain any injuries, according to officials.

The Baldwin Fire Department was assisted by mutual aid fire departments with approximately 75 firefighters on scene.

The fire was brought under control within 35 minutes, and Red Cross was also on scene to assist.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Nassau County Police Department Arson & Bomb Squad.
