A Brooklyn mom is demanding answers from police about the arrest of her 14-year-old son.

Tamera Arnette says her teenage son was in handcuffs for more than a week, as he laid in a hospital bed with a gunshot wound.

Police say 14-year-old Treyvon Carmona was shot in his ankle in Coney Island on March 23. He's been in the hospital since, and his mother said he was immediately handcuffed after surgery.

After nine days of seeing her son handcuffed to a hospital bed, she is just learning he is being charged with reckless endangerment.

“I just want to know why," said Tamera Arnette. "I just want to know what’s the reason. It’s nobody giving me answers. No one is communicating. What’s going on? I want my son home. It’s been nine days now.”

Police said another 14-year-old boy is involved in the shooting incident, but there is no word yet on if he is also being arrested.
