Sunday, Feb. 2 is the last day The Star-Ledger newspaper will be in print.

The parent company announced the decision in October, citing rising costs, decreasing circulation and reduced demand for print copies.

They released a special edition last copy to mark the day. It was a last tribute in print focused on the legacy of the paper.

The history includes over a century of print between the paper and its previous editions. All covered important events nationally and in the state.

In Sunday's paper, a 16-page section reads "Thank you, New Jersey".

It shares the history of the paper and articles about the change as well as reflections.

News 12 spoke to people about the last day of print. One woman shared the important connection with her family.

"My dad actually reads it every single day they've been subscribers for years, he sends me newspaper clipping every week," said Stephanie Trombino. "He's a bit heartbroken, I think it's tough for him. He's been reading it forever and feels very loyal to The Star-Ledger, lots of valuable local news you don't necessarily get in a Times or something like that."

Remember, you'll still be able to get The Star-Ledger news, but it will now be entirely online.
