Police identified the woman who was killed in Saturday's hit-and-run in Lake Grove.
Detectives say 24-year-old Sampada Aduulla, of Lake Grove, was trying to cross Nesconset Highway near Hallock Road, when a vehicle struck her around 6:20 a.m.
Police closed off the intersection between Hallock Road and East Moriches Road for hours as they collected evidence at the scene.
