Police: 2 people recovering after Setauket crash that shut down Main Street for hours

The driver and a passenger were hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to police.

Two people were hurt following a crash early Wednesday in Setauket, police say.

They say the car crashed into a utility pole on Main Street at around 2:30 a.m.

The crash also knocked out power for hundreds if people near the area. PSEG Long Island said all power has since been restored.

Main Street was shut down for hours as PSEG Long Island made repairs to the utility pole.

The driver and a passenger were hospitalized with injuries not consider to be life-threatening, according to police.
