A Brentwood man has admitted to posing as a police officer in an effort to get shopping discounts, according to the Suffolk County district attorney.

Ray Tierney says Eric Diaz pleaded guilty to the scheme between April and May at a Bay Shore store

In one instance, police say they stopped Diaz and found him carrying a stun gun and multiple fake police identification cards.

Diaz was arrested in August and pleaded guilty Wednesday.

He faces up to four years in prison.
