Nassau police have identified the body of a woman who washed up on the shore in Long Beach this week.

Police say the body of 37-year-old Sherica Douglas-Campbell, of Valley Stream, was found Tuesday. Long Beach officers received a call about a body along the shore near the Lincoln Boulevard section of the beach.

Nassau County police previously issued a missing person's report on Monday that stated Douglas-Campbell had last been seen in New Hyde Park.
