'Prove them wrong.' Family of Selden teen in coma hopes for a miracle

Family members of a Selden teenager who collapsed during football practice earlier this week are praying for a miracle.
Robert Bush, 17, suddenly collapsed at Newfield High School on Monday.
His brother, Steve Bush, says the family is holding on to a "sliver of hope" because it's all they have.
"His heart had stopped on the field, down for about 45 minutes or longer without a pulse," Steve Bush says. "He's currently still on a vent in an induced coma and they're doing everything to keep him alive at this point."
Robert Bush is one of 10 siblings and was adopted as a baby. His family says he is the light of their lives.
"Loves anything, loves hugs, he's the best," says Robert Bush's sister, Donna Boboris. "He doesn't deserve this. He's just a baby. He's my baby."
The teenager's family says he showed no signs of having a heart condition prior to his collapse on the field. They are hoping their story raises awareness of the importance for student athletes to get a thorough checkup before playing sports.
The Bush family says the 17-year-old wore wristbands with inspirational saying. They say one of his favorites is "Prove them wrong."
They are hoping that motto along with prayers will help him pull through.
"Send prayers, we need prayers right now," says Robert Bush's brother, Christopher Bush. "We want him to survive."
