Police: 5-hour standoff on Fieldmere Street in Elmont ends
A nearly 5-hour standoff in Elmont has come to an end. Police say a man barricaded himself inside his Fieldmere Street home at around 7:45 a.m. The man kept officers at bay until about 12:20 p.m.
