A Clarkstown judge has ordered a 19-year-old high-school student to stay away from the 14-year-old student he is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with.
Kevin Chicayza-Aucacama appeared in town court Wednesday for a hearing in his case.
He's charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
A North High School security guard said in a statement that he was on routine security patrol when he found Chicayza-Aucacama and the 14-year-old in a compromising position.
The judge granted the prosecution's request for a court order that Chicayza-Aucacama stay away from the other student - even though they still go to the same school.
Chicayza-Aucacama remains free while his case proceeds.
He could face a year in prison, if convicted.
The next hearing is scheduled for May 8.
