A Ridge man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend in Moriches has pleaded not guilty.
James Quininchetta was just indicted on murder charges.
The Suffolk district attorney says the 40-year-old shot Rebecca Roth multiple times and left her for dead inside her car outside of Tall Oaks Apartments.
News 12 has been told he was trying to collect money allegedly owed to him by the victim .
The victim’s mother found her on June 6.
Quininchetta then turned himself in the following day.
He faces 40 years to life in prison if convicted.
