A 19-year-old accused of stealing items from Green Acres Mall while carrying a gun was arrested Monday in Valley Stream, according to Nassau police.
Authorities say they responded to the scene after receiving a call reporting a larceny in progress at Macy’s.
Upon arrival, officers located and apprehended Malik Thorpe without incident.
The charges against him include multiple counts of petit larceny, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
The Queens resident was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Hempstead.
