A 12-year-old girl was hit by a car while crossing a road Thursday afternoon in Center Moriches.

Suffolk police say it happened around 3 p.m. on Main Street. The girl was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was uninjured. They are not facing any charges as of Friday morning.
