1 person killed in 2-car collision in West Hempstead on Nassau Boulevard

Detectives say a man was traveling southbound on Nassau Boulevard in West Hempstead when he crossed the double yellow line into the northbound lane, crashing into another car.

One person was killed Sunday in a two-car crash on Nassau Boulevard in West Hempstead.
The call for the crash came in a little before 4 a.m.
Detectives say a 41-year-old man was traveling southbound on Nassau Boulevard near Harless Place when he crossed the double yellow line into the northbound lane. He collided with a Hyundai Sonata operated by a 26-year-old man.
Police say the 41-year-old was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 26-year-old remained on the scene and suffered minor injuries.
