December brought snow to the tri-state area. Here's how the snow looked through your lens.

That address on your screen right now. All right, we're bringing hope back now for another check of that hyper local forecast. I've heard there's a warm up in our future hopes will be climbing into the mid to upper fifties this weekend. So that's something that we can look forward to. So we are also watching the some wet weather that's moving into our area right now. Here is the current timeline. So we're seeing some steady rain right now through at least 8 p.m. So watch for some puddles roads on area roadways and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. just expect the roads to still remain wet, but the rain will be coming to an end. Can't rule out some drizzle some mist through at least 10 after 10 pm, cloudy and chilly with areas of fog developing into tomorrow morning. So taking a look at your weekend forecast, it looks like Saturday is going to be your best bet to really go out there and enjoy the conditions highs near 58. This will probably be the last time that we see temperatures this mild for the rest of the year, limited sunshine. So we're not going to see that bright beautiful sky but still an overall really decent day, Sunday looking more so like a washout, temperatures will be in a low to mid fifties and steady rain. Expect rounds of showers throughout the day and we will be catching brief breaks at times. So here's the timeline. So again, the rain will be moving out of here this evening. Tomorrow morning, we'll be waking up to some fog, reducing visibility. So, if you're one of those early risers, give yourself a few extra minutes and us, your low beam headlights, the clouds will take over by the afternoon and temperatures will be climbing once again to the mid to upper fifties. But we're not seeing the sunshine muted sunshine all day long with some showers to follow Saturday night into early Sunday morning. We're seeing some of that rain and even some moderate to heavy rainfall as we get into the day on our Sunday. Now, in terms of the rest of the weekend, even into early next week, temperatures will be tumbling back into the forties. All right.

Maybe a slice of pizza, a burrito. It's difficult to do when you just sit. Exactly. It's so messy and $30. That's a bit pricey. So hope's not getting one clearly. How about the weather though? But you know, the weather is looking pretty decent for the next couple of days first, we got to just get through the rain. Here's your travel timeline for this evening. Now through at least 8 p.m. some steady rainfall watch for some puddles ponding on area roadways from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Still going to be dealing with some wet roads, but at least the showers are coming to an end after 10 p.m. Cloudy and chilly with areas of fog developing into tomorrow morning. So here's a look at your weekend forecast. Temperatures tomorrow 58 degrees. This could be the last time this year that we can actually see temperatures this mild. So go out there. Enjoy yourself, not going to see that beautiful sunshine. It is going to remain cloudy through the majority of the day. Some wet weather by our Sunday, this time, it's looking like a washout. Temperatures will be in the low fifties with some steady rain, rounds of showers throughout the day and even some moderate to heavy rainfall. I'll time that out shortly. But as of this evening, the rain will be coming to an end around eight pm, cloudy overnight with fog developing tomorrow morning still chilly, waking up tomorrow morning, 46 degrees, but at least this is where temperatures are going mid to upper fifties with clouds taking over our sky by tomorrow afternoon. So if you're thinking of doing any holiday shopping, any holiday decorating tomorrow will be your best bet to get things done. Some showers do push through mainly after 10 pm on our Saturday, taking us into Sunday and then expect rounds of rain and even some moderate to heavy pockets of downpours closer to 12 pm, even three o'clock in the afternoon and temperatures will be in the low fifties. Showers do move out of here on Sunday evening. Some drier air funnels in on our Monday and highs will be seasonable near 50 degrees. It really begins to cool down by the midweek temperatures in the low to mid forties and we're even seeing a few flakes by Wednesday morning.

How exciting. All right. So the rain should be clearing up shortly overnight though, the clouds linger and there's a chance that some fog will develop for tomorrow. Tomorrow's temperatures are even warmer, but it's not a nice looking day. So you might want to stay indoors. Clouds continue to build and thicken tomorrow night and the rain comes back in for Sunday. So it's sort of on and off. And if you're doing some traveling this weekend, here's that forecast head north or west, well, there's going to be rain there as well. Saturday is a dry day. Sunday is not and temperatures north of us are actually going to be even cooler on Sunday. Highs only in the forties. So we're kind of looking out here with the temperature because if it were colder, you know what this would mean, this wouldn't be rain. But tonight, about 1/10 or two of an inch falling Doppler estimated rainfall totals already at that mark. And then Sunday is the day where we could see over an of rain areas of purple here right along the merit in 95 corridor. So that's an indication there could be some heavier downpours there that could lead to some very minor flooding. I think we can absorb that amount of rain. At least here. Locally. Tonight, temperatures, they're not dropping much at all 30 up to the north for throughout Fairfield County. And then tomorrow that these everywhere so nice winds are light, even though the cloud c are lingering. And then Saturday night's really not cool at all as the clouds build and thick and again, and the rain comes in, temperatures bump up high for that night and then highs on Sunday are actually in the fif Monday and Tuesday are looking drier. That trend looks like it's holding with our forecast models. Wednesday is a little, there could be showers in there and then temperatures cool down the rest of the week. Look over that bridge. You can see that fog really building up. You can barely even see the colors at us. And what are we looking at as we move into the weekend, Nikita, we're going to be finding ourselves seeing a little bit more brighter days coming our way. At least one day for Saturday. That over nothing. Right. You're right. Yeah, we definitely would like to have at least some of the weekend looking good. Saturday is going be the better of the two weekend days, Sunday. Not so much. So make your plans accordingly because here's your weekend planner as you do with mostly cloudy skies, sunny breaks out there in the afternoon. Now, it's feeling definitely mild. I think maybe just light jackets at best will be worn by a lot of people out. And about Sunday though, probably stay inside sky showers and on and off batches of moderate rain coming on down. You can see that breakdown right here with the rain moving on in very much late Saturday night, pretty much overnight in towards your Sunday. Then for Sunday night, the showers are tapering off. So your Monday morning commute should be fine. It's just, you know, we'd like to push that rain perhaps towards work and I have it on the weekend. Over the past several hours, the showers are leaving Sullivan County, Olsa County, Orange County as well. Still hanging out just east of the Hudson River, but not, thankfully not for long. We're watching this area of low pressure head up from the southern plains, head over this way where we're on the warm side of the system as the cold air is kept up across in Canada and over across the northern plains. So we're just talking about rain showers, no wintry mix to snow coming down overnight, the temperatures go down a little bit mid to upper to low forties. The light clouds around will keep the warmth around from the day and because there won't be much of a breeze around, all that moisture slowly settles down. So we'll have to talk about some patchy fog, possibly being out there throughout the overnight hours, but it should be burning away nicely past about 9 to 10 o'clock or so. Moving through your futurecast pass the night in towards the day tomorrow. Partly most of the cloudy skies in the morning hours, sun shining down around one o'clock, not bad out there. Then here comes the rain. You go on in past 9 to 10 o'clock in towards the lunchtime hour and it'll still be around towards the afternoon hours where you may be seeing pockets of moderate to heavy rain coming on down. Those showers should be wrapping on up towards the evening hours. A few straggles will linger around overnight, but we'll be enjoying a much more drier and eventually cooler time frame going through next week 50 on Monday, 42 on Tuesday and then struggling to get out of the thirties on Wednesday. Be a little bit of a Scrooge this weekend for some holiday plans, not a wash out, but we're going to get wet. Yeah, it's gonna be gray. Tomorrow will definitely be the day for some of that fun. It'll be in the fifties so not too cold. You can do it. Yeah, we'll take it tomorrow and then on Sunday that's the wet day. So we are expecting rainfall on and off through the day on Sunday. So take advantage of your Saturday 56. It doesn't really feel like the holidays. It's pretty warm, but we will cool down for next week in 54 on Sunday. In the morning, light showers, most of the heavier rainfall on Sunday will get here for the afternoon and evening, but most of the day will be kind of wet. We've had the rain this evening, but the back edge is now approaching Long Island. So it will get out of here tonight. Lots of clouds. Tonight, we have warmer weather moving in. Even at this hour, we're seeing some forties and fifties southwest. It's pretty warm for this time of the year and those fifties will make their way towards Long Island tomorrow in the morning it's dry but there will be some low cloudiness around. We could have fog for the first half of the day. I think we'll see a few peaks of sunshine in the afternoon. It's not bad at all. Three o'clock, 53 Montauk and 54 in Hewlett. Now at night, after about 8 to 9 o'clock, the showers will return. It's going to be a light rain tomorrow night. Little bit of a break. Sunday morning, you can get out for your morning jog if you have to if you have anything planned. But after lunchtime you see that wet weather coming through the brighter colors that shows us there could be some pockets of heavier rainfall and this is up until about 89 o'clock at night. Our weather will start to dry out by Monday. Rainfall totals half an inch to an inch in many spots. This will be through Monday morning. So healthy little dose of rain rolling through. Then we've got a dry stretch coming up for you. Monday, 52 cooler, Tuesday at 46 much of next week will be cooler with sun and clouds.

It has that raw snappy but temperatures are still above average. I think the big takeaway tonight is going to be the locally dense fog that could be potentially developing as this system moves through the area. So we do have some passing showers. Visibilities are dropping. The cloud deck is at about 900 ft off the ground. You see that curtain of fog continuing to uh envelop almost everywhere. Here in New Jersey, temperatures will go from the mid forties where they're at right now down into the upper thirties to about 40 degrees. There may be a few passing showers from now until about 12 o'clock in the morning. Then we'll be left with cloud coverage, rain showers shut down. Temperatures will begin to cool a little bit going towards daybreak. We'll look for overnight lows to range anywhere from 38 in Sussex to 43 in North Trenton will dropped to 42 Atlantic City on the milder side at around 47 degrees. So the cold air is retreating, warmer weather is going to continue to win out. I think tomorrow we'll be dealing with daytime highs in the upper fifties to about 60 degrees. You'll notice a little bit of a break in the unsettled weather. That's your Saturday forecast back out towards the west. A little bit more energy kind of pivots through to deliver the second round of rain. Now, there's an opportunity maybe on Sunday where we could be looking at some locally heavier downpours. By Sunday evening, we'll see how that all plays out. But for the most part Saturday is going to be on the quieter side, Sunday. We start to see more wet weather kind of roaming through and that's going to unlock even chillier temperatures going in the middle of next week. I'll have more details on the forecast coming up.
