The Yankees look to advance to the World Series tonight for the first time since 2009 when they play the Astros in Houston.
The Astros were the highest scoring team this season, and they are undefeated at home so far in the playoffs — but their offense has appeared grounded as of late.
The Bronx Bombers came back from an 0-2 series deficit to take a 3-2 lead in the American League Championship Series.
"Give our guys a lot of credit for how resilient we are," Yankees Manager Joe Girardi said Friday. "I give them a lot of credit."
If the Yanks win, they will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series. Both Dick's and Modell's sporting goods stores say they are extending their hours Friday night in case fans want to grab pennant clinching souvenirs.
Game 6 starts at 8:08 p.m.
If the Yankees lose, a decisive Game 7 will be played Saturday.
