The horses are not the only attraction at the Hampton Classic.
A variety of vendors have been cooking up meals and treats all week long.
Foodies could dine on everything from burgers and fries to lobster rolls and ethnic cuisine.
“The venue is just spectacular,” says a Hunter trainer grabbing a bite to eat. “This is top. World class.”
While vendors focus on the fans, other workers make sure the horses have full stomachs.
"It's a big production. We have semi-trucks that come in with truckloads of hay and feed and bedding for the horses to be sleeping on, to house them for eight days," says Shanette Cohen, the executive director of the Hampton Classic.
The Classic wraps up Sunday with a $300,000 prize at the Grand Prix.
